A Storied History of Meeting Customer Needs

The Mintek story begins with our founder, William T. Ross, whose own battle with tuberculosis in the 1890s inspired a lifelong commitment to improving others’ wellbeing. After spending years recovering at The Pines Sanatorium, Will Ross founded Will Ross Inc. in 1914, a medical supply company dedicated to supplying wellness products to hospitals. As years of growth ensued, Will brought in his brother-in-law, Charles Paine, to run the business, and it quickly expanded into one of the largest hospital supply firms in the United States. Jack Bryson, Charles Paine’s son-in-law, acquired the specialty odor control division of Will Ross Inc. in 1979, renaming it Vaportek Inc.

John Bryson Jr. joined his father, Jack, in the family business after graduating from law school. Now serving as president of Vaportek, John enhanced the functionality of the dry vapor systems to address a broader range of common issues and launched the Mintek brand to prevent mice, rats and other pests from destroying vehicles, gardens and other personal property.
